Full Time Sales Associate: Home & Gift
About the role: Our full time sales associate role is not your typical retail job — you'll be an important member of our small team, responsible for everything that happens in the shop daily from open to close: from inventory processing, to spreadsheets and expenses, to shipping online orders, to visual merchandising and of course working on the sales floor. Downtime is rare in this busy, high-paced, high-responsibility position.
Location: LEIF Home & Gift — 99 Grand Street, Williamsburg, Brooklyn. For this high traffic location, we're seeking someone with a high level of energy and accountability, a commanding presence (sense of ownership) and a strong love of retail — this location requires someone with a very strong sense of urgency, who is excellent at multi-tasking and who thrives on being extremely busy.
Compensation: $21.50 — $23/hr starting wage based on recent/relevant experience

Responsibilities include:
+ Offer product knowledge and warmly offer suggestions/guidance, making sales while conveying an energetic authenticity and friendly familiarity with customers
+ Demonstrate an authentically friendly yet elevated level of sales and service through communication, product knowledge, body language & morale
+ Maintain our welcoming & unpretentious brand signature by warmly greeting and thanking every customer
+ Conduct sales transactions on POS, ringing up and packing items with accuracy, care and attention
+ Promptly and thoroughly restock merchandise after every sale while refreshing and maintaining the sales floor throughout the day
+ Receive and process new inventory on a daily basis; monitor and manage existing inventory
+ Provide customer service and assistance as needed via in-person interactions, respond to e-commerce inquiries via phone and email, while offering expert product knowledge
+ Monitor e-commerce sales, pick order items and prep them for fulfillment, maintaining 100% accuracy across product variants and quantities (long-term team members will be trained on packing and shipping orders)
+ Keep back stock neat and organized and common areas clean, neat & organized, restocking and replenishing supplies throughout the day
+ Maintain the storefront on a daily basis (cleaning, dusting, vacuuming, organizing & re-arranging back stock)

Requirements:

+ Organized, efficient and aesthetically/visually inclined (gift wrapping, merchandising).
